What happened this past week (last week of December & start of January):
Joy and Nathan took it easy for the New Year. We went to bed at the normal time. The one up at 2 am partying (eating) was baby. She's been wearing lots of new clothes for the New Year.
Baby loves to coo. Every morning she is perfectly content to sit in her bassinet and coo. Her fussy time appears to be sometime between 6 pm to 9 pm... but the exact hour varies from day to day. During fussy time the best thing to calm her is rocking to soothing music. Her fingernails are growing all the time. Joy is constantly cutting her fingernails.
Baby had her first blowout recently - she got her diaper, outfit, and receiving blanket dirty all at the same time. Other accomplishments include her first shower with Mommy(Joy), and finding her ears .. or at least we think she found them because she was holding both of them with her fingers for a good hour or so.
We're taking guesses as to which one of these conditions will disqualify her from her bassinet (and send her to the crib) first:
- weighs 15 pounds
- turns 3 months old
- can push up on hands and knees
- can roll over
Nathan is keeping busy with real estate.
Current callings (voluntary church job): Nathan - ward clerk, and home teacher; Joy - choir accompanist, visiting teacher, and ward bulletin specialist.
Nathan is now reading David O Mackay.
Joy is reading The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding.
Joy has been lazy about updating her database of books (see link below).
